ZIA German Property Federation
The German Property Federation (ZIA) pursues the objective of representing the general, economic and idealogical interests of the entire property sector and of promoting collaboration among its members. It supports and accompanies measures suitable for sustaining and improving the economic, legal, political and fiscal framework conditions of the property sector.Article 2 of ZIA's Articles of Association
ZIA's commitment to the property industry
The ZIA ranks among the sector’s most important stakeholder groups. It views itself as the strong voice of the property industry and fosters dialogue with its members, which include more than 20 associations, representing 37,000 companies in the sector.
ZIA combines the interests of the property sector’s entire value chain, as well as all its product types, which reinforces the industry and reflects its importance for the economy. As an umbrella organisation comprising entrepreneurs and federations, ZIA acts at domestic and at European level – and as a member of the Federation of German Industry (BDI). Dr Andreas Mattner is ZIA’s President.
ZIA’s members are linked through a reliable network comprising regional and federal associations. Around 400 experts from the member companies’ senior management act on the committees as experts, for instance in a parliamentary hearings and legislation procedures. ZIA represents the sector at prestigious international and domestic conferences, events and trade fairs. In organising “The Property Industry Day”, ZIA has established the largest annual gathering of the property industry.
Representing the interests of the entire sector
The German Property Federation (ZIA) represents the whole property sector along its entire value chain. The interests of planners, developers, construction companies, operators, real estate portfolio holders, brokers, consultants and service providers in all property-related issues can be voiced here. Numerous associations in the property and finance industry have meanwhile combined together under ZIA’s umbrella.
The sector’s most important companies are represented on ZIA’s committees. The concentration of this expertise enables ZIA to act in a consultancy capacity by offering comprehensive know-how and information to politicians and the public.
ZIA possesses special expertise in the area of finance and tax policies. The organisation is characterised by its strong capital market orientation. Many companies have committed to economic, ecological and socially sustainable conduct based on the sustainability code developed by ZIA.
